Jakob Marcks has worked for REM Consult since 2017 and is currently responsible for projects of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region, South Baltic and BONUS Programmes, assisting these projects in the areas of project management, finance management, and public relations. In addition, he is also involved in studies and concepts revolving around urban and regional development and contributes to various project developments.
Jakob is specialised in urban and spatial development and has a regional focus on Central-Eastern Europe. He studied Urban Planning (B.Sc.) at HafenCity University Hamburg as well as Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies (M.A.) at Charles University in Prague. Already during his studies Jakob gained insight into the world of EU projects, both on programme side (at the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg South Baltic Programme in Gdansk, Poland) and on project side (here at REM Consult).
