International cooperation projects are not only limited to the EU. Numerous funding programmes and initiatives enable cooperation with neighbouring countries and third countries in other parts of the world.<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”1724″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1512549646368{padding-bottom: 1.5em !important;}”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Especially in the first years, REM Consult used to be involved in different Twinning projects aiming at improving the administrative structures and procedures of EU accession countries. In several projects of the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), national staff of public administrations in Serbia, Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova were given training on the administration of EU structural funds. The aim was to help them prepare for future cross-border cooperation in an enlarged Interreg Community. Markus Lang<\/a> and Hauke Siemen<\/a> were involved in these projects as short-term experts. REM Consult furthermore contributed to EuropeAid projects.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
