The approval of the project at the end last year in one of the most competitive funding schemes of the EU, the <a href=\"https:\/\/rem-consult.eu\/en\/funding-programmes\/horizon-2020\/\">Horizon 2020<\/a> programme, has been a great pleasure for us. Now, that we have been assigned to accompany the project during its implementation, we are all the more happy. REM Consult has been contracted to advise the project coordinator (Lead Beneficiary) of the HCU to ensure a smooth implementation, support communication and dissemination measures as well as to plan and carry out the numerous events and workshops.<\/p>\n<p>MICADO, in collaboration with experts from public administration, migration research and IT development, will design an EU-wide, innovative IT solution to support migrants&#8217; integration efforts and to pilot these in the City of Antwerp, Bologna, Hamburg and Madrid. These solutions will be developed with all relevant user groups in co-creation workshops in a participatory manner, so that the needs of the user groups can be served in the best possible way. The aim is to develop user-specific front ends for the three user groups (1) public administrations, (2) volunteers and (3) migrants, which are connected to data sources and services via various interfaces. This is supposed to serve for more accurate information provision and service generation as well as foster more efficient communication and coordination within and between the user groups. In addition, the so-called &#8220;data silos&#8221; of various sources shall be opened up and connected smartly.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the development period, MICADO strives to roll out its service on a modular basis in various EU cities and municipalities &#8211; for this purpose there will be a basic MICADO application that can be equipped with optional, partly open-for-further-development modules and thus can be adapted to the local contexts.
