REM successfully supports projects in the final call of the Interreg BSR Programme

The Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme has once again selected pioneering projects for funding in the final call of the current programming period. The REM Consult team supported the development of four out of the 33 approved projects in the categories “Project Platforms” and “Small-Scale Projects”.

Successful Conclusion of the Final Call in Tallinn

On 24–25 March 2026, the Programme’s Monitoring Committee met in Tallinn to review the progress of the funding period and, for the last time, select new projects for financing. Chaired by the Estonian Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, the Committee discussed key aspects of Programme implementation and approved forward-looking initiatives.

Strengthening Strategic Cooperation through Project Platforms

In the second and final call for Project Platforms, five projects were selected for funding from 14 applications submitted. With a total budget of approximately €4 million from the European Regional Development Fund and the Norwegian National Fund, these platforms will help consolidate project results, create synergies, and generate policy impact across programmes and funding instruments. Their thematic scope ranges from urban co-creation and social innovation to sustainable water management and safe maritime navigation.

Strong Interest in the Small-Scale Project Instrument

The Small-Scale Projects, a new instrument designed to facilitate access to the Programme, also attracted significant interest. Out of 100 submitted project ideas, 28 were selected. With a funding volume of around €10.9 million, they strengthen innovation, resilience, and sustainability across the Baltic Sea Region. The projects address key topics such as social innovation, the circular economy, climate neutrality, sustainable water management, and future-oriented public services.

REM Consult as a Reliable Partner in Project Development

The success of four approved projects highlights REM Consult’s expertise in strategic project development and transnational cooperation. Through sound advice and targeted support, the REM team made a significant contribution to the successful preparation of proposals, thereby fostering the sustainable development of the Baltic Sea Region. Two of the successful projects are designed as Project Platforms under the Programme objective “Resilient Economies and Communities”. Two additional Small-Scale Projects address the Programme objectives “Innovative Societies” and “Climate-Neutral Societies”.
