Extension Stages for SEMPRE and EmpInno
The two Baltic Sea Region projects SEMPRE and EmpInno, coordinated by REM Consult, continue and work on selected aspects for additional 18 months.
The Monitoring Committee of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme decided on 11 April 2019 to approve nine applications for extension stage projects – among them “SEMPRE Accelerators“ and “EmpInno Monitor S3“. During the 18 additional months the extension stage projects will deepen the work on particular aspects which where developed in the three years´ main stages and bring them to a practical implementation.
In “SEMPRE Accelerators“ the partners apply additional support mechanisms to accelerate the growth and development of eight of the most promising micro projects, built during the SEMPRE project. They turn them into successful, self-sustaining social start-ups that consistently offer services and/or products on local and regional markets of the Baltic Sea Region.
Building upon results of the recently finished EmpInno project, the partners of “EmpInno Monitor S3” apply innovative approaches to monitor and evaluate the smart specialisation strategies (S3) of their partner regions. As regional innovation strategies become even more important in the future, the main objective is to improve their monitoring systems to allow for better informed decision making.
Congratulations to the Lead Partners, the Diaconie of Schleswig-Holstein and Rostock Business, and good luck to the partnerships for the implementation of the extension stage projects!
