Projects awarded in the Interreg Europe programme
We are happy to announce that the project UrbCitizenPower has been approved within the second call of the Interreg Europe programme. REM Consult has successfully supported the lead partner – the Heinrich Böll Foundation Schleswig-Holstein – in the project development and application process under priority 5 “Europe closer to Citizens”. In December 2023, the Interreg Europe Programme has approved this application. Can we also support you and your project idea, e.g. in the third call of the Programme?
European cities are centres for innovation and development – and at the same time the biggest source and focal point of societal, economic, and environmental challenges. There is high and urgent demand to make cities resilient, liveable, and advance in innovative solutions for complex urban challenges and transitions (e. g. green or digital transition).
To address these challenges, UrbCitizenPower focuses on citizens as drivers for positive change. The project aims to empower citizens so that they are equipped to take action in current important societal topics themselves. By increasing the agency of citizens – understood as capacity of individuals to have the power and resources to fulfill their potential – the project strives to empower the biggest asset in regional development: the collective innovativeness of individuals.
We are excited about the approval of UrbCitizenPower – Empower citizens for agency as driver for change in cities as part of the second call of the Interreg Europe Call. The 4-year project was approved as one of 78 approved projects out of 146 project applications in the second call of the Interreg Europe programme. We congratulate all partners and wish the consortium all the best for the implementation of UrbCitizenPower!
The third call for project proposals will be open from 20 March to 7 June 2024. If you would also like to benefit from our expertise in the upcoming third call of the Interreg Europe programme or other funding programmes, just get in touch.
