New Project on Cultural and Creative Industries
REM Consult coordinates the new Interreg Baltic Sea Region project Creative Ports on behalf of the Goethe Institute.
Advancing joint activities of the vibrant cultural and creative industries in the Baltic Sea Region is key to the Goethe-Institute and the project Creative Ports. Being a flagship of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, 14 partners – including business support organisations, incubators, cultural institutions, universities, and local and region authorities – cooperate to strengthen the internationalisation of this innovative sector.
During two project meetings in Helsinki (February) and St. Petersburg (May) the consortium took important steps to develop the project’s activities. As one important issue, the partners exchanged tools for the internationalisation of actors from cultural and creative industries. In the next steps, selected tools are being piloted, from joint participation of game developers or fashion design-companies in the partner regions to workshops or international trade fairs under a common label. The experiences and results of how to initiate and run the internationalisation processes are documented and elaborated with learning modules and presented on an online platform for the whole Baltic Sea Region.
REM Consult is delighted to support the creative processes from the eight countries, after having already assisted in the successful project development.
