Mareike Hannes

Project Manager

Mareike has been a member of the REM Consult team since 2010. She possesses extensive experience in project development as well as in the role of a leading project and finance manager of several EU projects realised under various funding programmes, including BONUS, the Interreg South Baltic Programme and the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme. In addition to this, Mareike supports several projects in the area of public relations. Over the course of her career she has coordinated and organised numerous international project meetings and events and has taken over the editorial lead for German and English-language publications. Her thematic priorities include renewable energy, climate change and spatial planning.

In the summer of 2010, Mareike successfully completed her master studies in the field of urban planning and development at HafenCity University Hamburg. She worked as an academic assistant in research and teaching for more than two years. Mareike still frequently makes use of her knowledge as a professionally trained urban planner in her role as an assistant lecturer in the field of urban planning and regional development at HafenCity University Hamburg.
